Inner-city earthquake-prone buildings, and also rising insurance increases - what will the would-be Wellington Central candidates do about these challenges?

Come along to our “Meet the Candidates” session this Friday - 15 September - 5.30pm at St Peter’s on Willis - and ask them!

These are some questions you could ask them

  1. Will you commit to lobbying your Caucus and Coalition colleagues to undertake an

independent review of the earthquake prone building regime - policy, legislation and

implementation system (as it relates to multi-owner residential buildings) in the first year as

    a Government?

  2. Will you commit to lobbying your Caucus and Coalition colleagues to commission work to

address the cost of insurance, the failing market and review the insurance obligations under

the Unit Titles Act 2010 to provide options for owners in unit title buildings in the first year

    as a Government?

  3. Will you commit to responding to Inner City Wellington on the outcome by 28 February

    2024?

Have a think about other questions you want to ask - this is your chance.
