ICW is asking for an investigation about EQP legislation

ICW is submitting a complaint to the Ombudsman
Inner-City Wellington is very concerned about the impact that the issue of earthquake-prone buildings is having on owners in the city.

As part of our advocacy, Inner City Wellington is submitting - on behalf of apartment affected owners - a Complaint to the Ombudsman. (see below)

Our complaint sets out the impacts of the EQP legislation on apartment owners and asks for an investigation by the Ombudsman.

  • We are seeking support from owners of apartments in earthquake-prone buildings for the Complaint.

  • We also welcome support from other individuals in non-earthquake-prone buildings, including previous owners in an earthquake-prone building who have had to sell, owners who have already complied, and anyone concerned about the impacts of this legislation.

  • We also welcome support from Body Corporate Chairs on behalf of their wider Body Corporate.
